Calendar Views
SlotBase offers three calendar views to help you see your facility's schedule at different levels of detail. Switch between views using the view switcher at the top of the calendar.
Day View
The day view shows a single day's schedule across all resources.
Layout:
- Columns = Resources (each court, field, or lane gets its own column)
- Rows = Time slots (typically in 30-minute or 1-hour increments)
- Cells = Individual booking slots
Best for:
- Managing today's schedule at the front desk
- Seeing exactly what is happening at each resource right now
- Creating bookings for specific time slots
- Checking in players as they arrive
Day view is the most detailed view and the best starting point for day-to-day facility management. It shows every booking and event at a glance.
Week View
The week view shows an entire week's schedule with a condensed view of each day.
Layout:
- Columns = Days of the week (Monday through Sunday)
- Rows = Time slots
- Cells = Bookings shown as blocks within each day
Best for:
- Planning the upcoming week
- Identifying busy and slow days
- Spotting scheduling patterns
- Reviewing the week's events and programs
In week view, each day column shows all resources combined. Individual resource detail is condensed to fit the wider time range. Click on any day to switch to the day view for that date.
Month View
The month view shows a full calendar month with booking and event counts per day.
Layout:
- Standard monthly calendar grid
- Each day shows a count or summary of bookings and events
- Days with events are highlighted
Best for:
- Long-term planning and scheduling
- Identifying trends across the month
- Viewing event distribution
- Finding available dates for new events or programs
Switching Between Views
Use the view switcher buttons at the top of the calendar:

Navigation Within Views
Each view has its own navigation:

| Week | Previous/Next Week | Move one week at a time |
| Month | Previous/Next Month | Move one month at a time |
The Today button always returns you to the current date regardless of which view you are in.
Time Scale
In day and week views, you can adjust the time scale to show more or fewer time slots:
- 30-minute slots -- More detail, shows short sessions clearly
- 1-hour slots -- Less scrolling, better overview for facilities with longer session times
The time scale is set in your facility's calendar settings and applies to all users viewing the calendar.
Responsive Layout
The calendar automatically adjusts to your screen size:
- On desktop, all resource columns are visible side by side
- On tablet, resource columns may scroll horizontally
- On mobile, the calendar switches to a simplified list or single-resource view
For the best experience managing your facility's calendar, use a desktop or tablet with a wide screen. The resource-column layout is most useful when you can see all resources at once.
