Drop-In Sessions

Drop-in sessions allow players to attend a single program session without enrolling in the full program. This is ideal for players who want to try a class occasionally, are visiting from out of town, or are not ready to commit to a monthly subscription.

What Is a Drop-In?

A drop-in is a one-time attendance at a program session. Instead of subscribing to the program and paying monthly, you pay a single drop-in price for just that session. You participate in the class alongside enrolled students and receive the same coaching.

info

Not all programs allow drop-ins. The facility admin decides whether drop-in attendance is enabled when creating or editing the program. If you do not see a drop-in option, the program requires full enrollment.

Drop-In vs. Enrollment

Attendance trackingTracked for the attended sessionTracked for every session

tip

If you plan to attend regularly, enrolling is almost always more cost-effective. Drop-in pricing is intentionally set higher than the per-session cost of a monthly subscription to encourage enrollment.

Drop-In Pricing

The facility admin sets a drop-in price for each program that supports drop-ins. This price is typically higher than the effective per-session rate of the monthly subscription.

For example:

  • A program charges $120/month and runs 4 sessions per month, making the effective rate $30 per session.
  • The drop-in price might be set at $40 or $45 per session.

Some programs also apply a weekend multiplier to sessions that fall on weekends, which may affect the drop-in price as well.

How to Attend a Drop-In Session

To attend a single session as a drop-in:

  1. Navigate to the Programs section on the facility page.
  2. Find the program that interests you.
  3. Click on the program to view upcoming sessions.
  4. Find a session with available capacity.
  5. Click Drop In on the session you want to attend.
  6. Select the player (yourself or a child from your family account).
  7. Review the drop-in price and session details.
  8. Confirm and pay the drop-in fee.
  9. The session is added to your calendar.
info

Drop-in spots are subject to availability. If a session is already at capacity with enrolled students, drop-in may not be available for that date.

Drop-In Availability

Drop-in availability depends on several factors:

FactorImpact on Availability
Drop-in enabledMust be turned on by the admin for the program
Session capacityEnrolled students fill spots first; drop-ins take remaining spots
Maximum enrollmentIf the program is full, no drop-in spots are available
Session statusOnly upcoming, non-cancelled sessions are available

Attendance for Drop-Ins

Drop-in attendees are tracked in the same attendance system as enrolled students. The coach or admin marks your attendance with the same statuses:

  • Present -- You attended the session.
  • Absent -- You paid for the drop-in but did not show up.
  • Late -- You arrived late.
caution

Drop-in fees are typically non-refundable if you do not attend. Check the facility's cancellation policy for drop-in sessions before booking.

Drop-In for Families

Parents can book drop-in sessions for their children:

  1. During the drop-in booking process, select the child from your family members.
  2. The session is added to the child's calendar.
  3. Payment is charged to the parent account.

Transitioning from Drop-In to Enrollment

If you enjoy a drop-in session and want to attend regularly, you can enroll in the program:

  1. Go to the program page.
  2. Click Enroll (if spots are available) or Join Waitlist (if the program is full).
  3. Follow the standard enrollment process.
tip

If the program offers trial sessions, you may be able to start with a free trial even after attending as a drop-in. Check whether you have used your trial allotment for that program.

Admin Configuration

Facility admins control drop-in settings when creating or editing a program:

SettingDescription
Drop-In EnabledWhether the program allows drop-in attendance
Drop-In PriceThe per-session fee for drop-in attendance

Admins can enable or disable drop-ins at any time. Disabling drop-ins does not affect already-booked drop-in sessions.
