Online Payments

If your facility has connected a Stripe account, you can pay for bookings and event registrations online using a credit or debit card. This page explains the online payment experience from the player's perspective.

When Online Payment Is Available

Online payment is available when all of the following are true:

  • The facility has connected a Stripe account (see Stripe Setup)
  • The facility's payment timing is set to At Booking or Before Session
  • You are booking a session, registering for an event, or paying an invoice

Not all facilities offer online payments. If you do not see an online payment option during checkout, the facility may only accept offline payments at the front desk.

Paying Online During Booking

When you book a session at a facility that accepts online payments:

  1. Select your desired date, time, and resource on the booking calendar.
  2. Confirm your booking details on the summary screen.
  3. Click Pay Now to proceed to payment.
  4. You are redirected to a secure Stripe Checkout page.
  5. Enter your card details:
    • Card number
    • Expiration date
    • CVC / security code
    • Billing zip code (if required)
  6. Click Pay to complete the transaction.
  7. You are redirected back to SlotBase with a payment confirmation.

Your booking is confirmed and your payment status is set to Paid.

Stripe Checkout is a secure, PCI-compliant payment page hosted by Stripe. Your card details are never stored in SlotBase.

Paying an Invoice Online

If you have an outstanding invoice, you can pay it online:

  1. Navigate to My Invoices in your player dashboard.
  2. Select the invoice you want to pay.
  3. Click Pay Online.
  4. You are redirected to Stripe Checkout.
  5. Enter your card details and complete the payment.
  6. The invoice status updates to Paid (or Partially Paid if a partial amount was entered).

Payment Confirmation

After a successful online payment, you will see:

  • A confirmation page in SlotBase showing your payment was processed
  • The booking or invoice status updated to Paid
  • A transaction record in your payment history
  • An email receipt from Stripe (sent to your registered email address)

Failed Payments

If your payment fails, you will see an error message on the Stripe Checkout page. Common reasons include:

  • Insufficient funds -- your card does not have enough balance
  • Card declined -- your bank declined the transaction
  • Incorrect card details -- a typo in your card number, expiration, or CVC
  • Authentication required -- your bank requires additional verification (3D Secure)

If a payment fails, your booking is not confirmed. You can try again with a different card or pay offline at the facility.

If your payment fails during booking, the time slot may be released back to the calendar. You may need to rebook the session after resolving your payment issue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my card information stored? No. SlotBase does not store your card details. All payment information is handled securely by Stripe.

Can I get a refund for an online payment? Yes. Refunds for online payments are processed back to your original card. See Refunds & Credits for details.

Will I receive a receipt? Yes. Stripe sends an email receipt to your registered email address after every successful payment.
