Suspend/Activate Facility

Platform admins can suspend or reactivate facilities to control access to the platform. Suspension is a powerful tool used to enforce platform policies, address billing issues, or handle other situations where a facility should temporarily lose access.


Suspending a Facility

To suspend a facility:

  1. Navigate to Facilities in the admin dashboard.
  2. Click on the facility you want to suspend.
  3. Click the Suspend button.
  4. Confirm the suspension.
  5. The facility's status changes to SUSPENDED.

Suspending a facility immediately blocks all activity. Players cannot make bookings, register for events, or access facility features. The facility owner loses admin access. Use this action carefully.

Reasons to Suspend a Facility

Common reasons for suspension include:

  • Billing issues -- The facility has unpaid invoices or a past-due subscription that was not resolved
  • Policy violations -- The facility has violated SlotBase platform policies
  • Owner request -- The facility owner has requested a temporary shutdown
  • Investigation -- The facility is under review for reported issues
  • Security concerns -- Suspicious activity detected on the facility account

Notifying the Facility Owner

When you suspend a facility, the owner receives an email notification explaining:

  • That their facility has been suspended
  • The reason for the suspension (if provided)
  • Steps they can take to resolve the issue
  • Contact information for platform support

Always include a clear reason when suspending a facility. This helps the owner understand what happened and what they need to do to get reactivated.


Reactivating a Facility

To reactivate a suspended facility:

  1. Navigate to Facilities in the admin dashboard.
  2. Click on the suspended facility.
  3. Click the Activate button.
  4. Confirm the reactivation.
  5. The facility's status returns to ACTIVE.

Upon reactivation:

  • The facility owner regains full admin access
  • Players can resume booking and registering
  • All existing data and settings are intact
  • The facility appears as active on the platform

Suspension is a temporary measure. If a facility needs to be permanently removed, cancellation is the appropriate path. Suspension preserves the option to reactivate quickly.


Audit Trail

All suspension and reactivation actions are logged with:

  • The platform admin who took the action
  • The date and time
  • The reason (if provided)

This audit trail is visible on the facility's detail page and helps maintain accountability.
