Add Resources
Resources are the bookable spaces at your facility -- courts, fields, lanes, nets, cages, and pool sections. Players reserve time on these resources when they make bookings. You need at least one active resource before you can publish your facility.
Supported Resource Types
SlotBase supports the following resource types:

| Cricket Lane | Indoor cricket bowling or batting lane |
| Cricket Net | Outdoor or indoor cricket net |
| Bowling Machine | Cricket bowling machine station |
| Batting Cage | Baseball or softball batting cage |
| Squash Court | Indoor squash court |
| Multi-Purpose | Any space that does not fit another category |
Use Multi-Purpose for spaces that host multiple sports or activities, such as a gymnasium used for both basketball and volleyball.
How to Add a Resource
- Go to Facility Settings in the admin sidebar.
- Select Resources.
- Click Add Resource.
- Fill in the resource details:
- Name -- A descriptive label (e.g., "Court 1", "Lane A", "Main Field").
- Resource Type -- Select from the dropdown list above.
- Description -- Optional details about the resource (e.g., "Regulation-size court with ProCushion surface").
- Configure the Attributes:
- Indoor -- Toggle on if the resource is indoors.
- Surface -- The playing surface type (e.g., hard court, clay, grass, turf, wood).
- Lighting -- Toggle on if the resource has lighting for evening play.
- Set the Display Options:
- Color -- Choose a color for this resource on the calendar and schedule views.
- Image -- Upload a photo of the resource (optional).
- Display Order -- Set the position this resource appears in lists and the calendar grid.
- Click Save.
New resources are created with an Active status by default. You can change this to Maintenance or Inactive at any time.
Resource Status
Each resource has a status that controls its availability:

| Active | Available for booking by players and coaches. |
| Maintenance | Temporarily unavailable. Existing bookings are preserved but new bookings are blocked. |
| Inactive | Hidden from players and coaches. No bookings can be made. |
Managing Existing Resources
Editing a Resource
- Go to Facility Settings > Resources.
- Click on the resource you want to edit.
- Update any fields and click Save.
Changing Resource Status
- Go to Facility Settings > Resources.
- Click on the resource.
- Change the Status dropdown to Active, Maintenance, or Inactive.
- Click Save.
Setting a resource to Inactive hides it from all booking flows. Any future bookings on that resource will need to be manually cancelled or reassigned.
Reordering Resources
The Display Order field controls the position of each resource in the calendar and booking views. Lower numbers appear first. To reorder, update the display order value on each resource.
Tips for Naming Resources
- Use consistent naming conventions (e.g., "Court 1", "Court 2" rather than "Main Court", "Back Court").
- Include the sport in the name if your facility has multiple sport types (e.g., "Tennis Court 1", "Pickleball Court A").
- Keep names short so they display well on the calendar grid.
