Publish Facility

Publishing your facility is the final step in the setup process. Once published, your facility moves from Draft to Active status, becomes visible to players, and starts accepting bookings. This page explains what you need to do before publishing and what happens afterward.


Before You Publish

Make sure you have completed the following before clicking Publish:

  1. Facility profile is complete -- Name, address, timezone, contact info, and at least one sport type are filled in.
  2. At least one resource is added -- You need at least one active court, field, lane, or other bookable space.
  3. Operating hours are set -- You have configured open and close times for at least one day of the week.
caution

You cannot publish a facility that is missing a name, address, timezone, or resources. SlotBase will show you a checklist of any outstanding items.


How to Publish

There are two ways to publish your facility:

Option 1: From the Settings Page

  1. Go to Settings > General in the admin sidebar.
  2. If your facility is in Draft mode, you will see a yellow banner at the top of the page that says "Facility Not Published".
  3. Click Publish Facility on the banner.
  4. Your facility status changes from Draft to Active immediately.

Option 2: During Onboarding

  1. Complete the onboarding wizard (facility profile, resources, operating hours).
  2. On the final step, click Publish Facility.
  3. Your facility goes live immediately.
tip

If you skipped the publish step during onboarding, you can always publish later from Settings > General. The publish banner will appear on that page as long as your facility is still in Draft status.

Publishing does not automatically notify anyone. If you want to announce your launch, share your facility link through your own communication channels.


While only the core setup items are required, you should also configure these settings before going live:

  • Booking approval settings -- Decide whether bookings need admin approval or are auto-approved.
  • Member policies -- Set whether new members need approval to join.
  • Payment settings -- Configure payment timing, cancellation policies, and tax rates.
  • Holidays -- Add any upcoming closures so players see them right away.

Taking Your Facility Offline

If you need to temporarily remove your facility from public view:

  1. Go to Facility Settings > General.
  2. Change the status to Inactive.
  3. Click Save.

When your facility is inactive:

  • It no longer appears in search results.
  • Existing members can still see their past bookings but cannot create new ones.
  • You can reactivate it at any time by changing the status back to Active.
warning

Setting your facility to Inactive does not cancel existing future bookings. Review and manage outstanding bookings before going offline.
