Register for Event (Player)

As a player, you can browse and register for events hosted by your facility. This guide covers how to find events, register, complete payment if required, and manage your registration.


Finding Events

There are two ways to discover upcoming events:

  1. Events List -- Navigate to Events in your player dashboard to see all upcoming events at your facility. Each event card shows the title, date, time, price, and available spots.
  2. Facility Calendar -- Browse the calendar view to see events alongside regular bookings. Published events appear in purple (spots available) or gray (full).

Click on any event to open its detail page.


Event Detail Page

The event detail page shows you everything you need to know before registering:

  • Title and description -- What the event is about
  • Date and time -- When it takes place
  • Resource -- Which court, field, or space is being used
  • Price -- Registration fee (or "Free" if no charge)
  • Spots available -- How many spots remain out of the total capacity
  • Coach -- The assigned coach, if applicable (with profile link)
  • Waiver -- Any liability waiver you must accept

How to Register

Free Events

  1. Open the event detail page.
  2. If a waiver is required, read and accept the waiver by checking the acknowledgment box.
  3. Click the Register button.
  4. You will see a confirmation message, and your registration status will show as Registered.

  4. You will be redirected to a Stripe checkout page to complete payment.
  5. Complete the payment on the Stripe page.
  6. After successful payment, you are redirected back to SlotBase with a confirmation. Your registration status shows as Registered and payment status shows as Paid.

If you close the Stripe checkout page without completing payment, your registration will have a payment status of Pending. You may need to contact the facility to resolve this.


What Happens If the Event Is Full

If all spots are taken when you click Register, you are automatically added to the waitlist:

  • Your registration status will show as Waitlisted.
  • You will see your position in the waitlist queue (for example, "3rd in line").
  • If a registered player cancels, the first person on the waitlist is automatically promoted and notified by email.

Waiver Requirements

Some events require you to accept a liability waiver before you can register. If a waiver is required:

  1. The waiver text or a link to the waiver document will be displayed on the event detail page.
  2. You must check the I accept box to proceed.
  3. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp.

You cannot register for an event that requires a waiver without accepting it. The Register button will be disabled until you check the acceptance box.

Viewing Your Registrations

To see all events you have registered for:

  1. Navigate to Events in your player dashboard.
  2. Look for the My Registrations tab or section.
  3. Each registration shows the event name, date, your registration status, and payment status.

Cancelling Your Registration

If you can no longer attend an event:

  1. Navigate to your registered event.
  2. Click Cancel Registration.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.

Your registration status will change to Cancelled. If the event was paid, refund handling depends on the facility's policy.

When you cancel your registration for a full event, the first player on the waitlist is automatically promoted to your spot and notified by email.
