Add Child Account

Adding a child account links your child to your parent account so you can book sessions, register for events, and manage their sports activities through SlotBase.


Before You Begin

To add a child account, you need:

  • An active SlotBase parent account
  • Your child's full name
  • Your child's date of birth
  • Your child's email address (optional for younger children)

Your child's date of birth is required so SlotBase can apply the correct age-based policies. Children under 13 have different access rules than those 13 and older.


Adding Your Child

  1. Log in to your SlotBase account.
  2. Navigate to Family or My Children in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Add Child button.
  4. Enter your child's information:
    • First Name (required)
    • Last Name (required)
    • Date of Birth (required)
    • Email Address (optional for children under 13)
  5. Select your Relationship Type (Parent, Guardian, Caregiver).
  6. Click Add Child to create the account.

Your child's account is now linked to yours and appears in your family dashboard.


What Happens Next

After adding a child:

  • The child appears in your Family section on the dashboard
  • You can select the child when making bookings or registering for events
  • The child is not automatically added to any facility -- you will need to add them to specific facilities as needed
  • If you provided an email address, the child receives a welcome email (for children 13+)

Adding a Child to a Facility

After creating the child account, you need to add them as a player at your facility:

  1. Navigate to the facility where you want to enroll your child.
  2. Go to the booking or registration flow.
  3. Select your child from the Booking For dropdown.
  4. SlotBase will automatically add the child to the facility if they are not already a member.

You can also ask the facility admin to add your child manually from the admin dashboard.


Multiple Children

You can add as many children as needed to your parent account. Each child has their own profile and booking history. Repeat the steps above for each child.


Multiple Parents or Guardians

A child can be linked to more than one adult account. For example, if both parents have SlotBase accounts, each can independently add the same child. Both parents will be able to:

  • View the child's bookings and registrations
  • Book on behalf of the child
  • Receive notifications about the child's activities

Editing Child Information

To update your child's profile after creation:

  1. Navigate to Family or My Children.
  2. Click on the child's name.
  3. Update the relevant fields.
  4. Click Save.

The date of birth cannot be changed after account creation. If it was entered incorrectly, contact SlotBase support for assistance.
